Naatsisaan Trail Races : Navajo Mountain, Utah (October 31, 2026)
The Naatsisaan Trail Races take place at Navajo Mountain High School and include multiple trail distances that start and finish at the school. Courses use dirt roads, old doubletrack and singletrack, and pass around Lost Mesa with views from the northeast side of Navajo Mountain. The route climbs above Navajo Begay, follows the 2006 fire site, and enters Cha (Beaver) Canyon before returning to the high school. The 50K includes a second similar but shorter loop.

Aid stations on the 10-miler and 50K provide Honey Stinger energy gels, salty and sweet high-carbohydrate foods, fluids, communication capability, and medical support. The course is marked with pin flags, cairns and some signage; organizers may revise the route or use alternate paths in case of bad weather.
The 5K is described as a non-competitive trail run on local dirt roads; it includes on-course support and overall and age-group swag awards. The 10-miler and 50K offer overall and age-group awards, and all finishers receive a finisher's medal.
Runners are expected to carry appropriate gear for volatile high desert conditions, including rain gear, suitable footwear and personal hydration systems. Rustic camping is available on the high school grounds with access to restrooms and showers. Nearby towns offer additional lodging options about two hours away.
