Naas Athletic Club stages an annual road race of distance 5 mile that departs from and finishes at Naas racecourse in County Kildare. The event takes place on a Friday evening and is scheduled for 15 May 2026. The club describes the race as welcoming runners of all abilities.
The event is positioned two weeks before the women’s mini marathon and the organisers note that the eight kilometres can serve as a warmup for that later event. Last year’s entry achieved exactly 50 percent female participation and the organisers aim to improve on that figure for 2026.
Prize money will be awarded to top individual finishers and to mixed gender teams on the night. Post race refreshments will be provided to participants. The first 300 entrants are listed to receive a free T shirt. Entry places are limited to 500.
The race is presented as a standalone five mile road race with on course and post race arrangements handled by Naas AC.
