MVHCT Heroic Walk, Run & Roll : Chesterfield, MI
The Michigan Veteran Homes at Chesterfield Township holds its 5th annual community Walk, Run & Roll on Saturday, June 6, 2026. The event brings participants and members together on the MVHCT campus for organized walking and running activities and community fundraising.
The event includes the following distances:
- 0.5 mile Remembrance Walk on MVHCT property
- 5K Run/Walk that extends onto the adjacent Veteran Pathways property
Both routes are hosted on the MVHCT campus; the course areas on and around the Home are closed to vehicular traffic during the event. The program is described as open to individuals of all abilities. All registered runners and walkers receive a finisher medal, and participants registered by May 22 will receive a commemorative event shirt. Proceeds support the MVHCT Charitable Support Fund, which funds programs, activities, outings, and other quality-of-life services for members.
Additional event details include a silent auction and raffle (cash or check accepted), on-site coffee service with card and cash payments, availability of event and volunteer shirts through the event store, and off-site parking at Naldrett School with continuous shuttle service to the staging area; organizers note an additional 10 to 15 minutes for parking and transit to the site.
