Mutt Strut 2026
Mutt Strut is the ninth annual 5K run and walk held at Hermitage Park in Edmonton, Alberta on August 29, 2026. The event offers an in-person event at Hermitage Park Picnic Site 1 and virtual options for local and remote participants.
The event format is a 5 kilometer run or walk. All participants receive a finisher medal. Registrations made by August 1 include a guaranteed event T-shirt in the requested size. The virtual local option includes a swag bag available for pickup until September 20; the virtual remote option does not include the swag bag.
Registration has an early bird window from May 26 to July 8 and a standard window from July 9 to August 28. Published fees range from CA$50.55 to CA$66.71 depending on the entry option. Race package pickup is scheduled at the Running Room in St. Albert on August 27. Prizes are listed for the top three fundraisers and for team spirit.
Leashed dogs are welcome on the course. Participants are asked not to use prong collars, choke chains, or other aversive training tools during the event. Proceeds support the Greater Edmonton Animal Rescue Society. Running Room is listed as a sponsor. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
