Mutt Strut 2026 : 9th Annual 5K
Mutt Strut 2026 is the ninth annual community 5K event held at Hermitage Park in Edmonton, Alberta on August 29, 2026. The event offers an in-person 5K Run/Walk at the Hermitage Park picnic site and two virtual participation options: a Virtual 5km (LOCAL) that includes a swag bag available for pickup until September 20, and a Virtual 5km (REMOTE) option that does not include a swag bag.
All participants receive finisher medals. T-shirt availability is guaranteed for registrations completed by August 1. Advance race-package pick-up is scheduled for Thursday, August 27 at the Running Room in St. Albert. Race day registration and on-site kit pickup are available at the event location.
The event is dog-friendly; leashed dogs are welcome. Participants are asked not to use prong collars, choke chains, or other aversive training tools during the event. Prizes are listed for the top three fundraisers and for team spirit.
Proceeds benefit the Greater Edmonton Animal Rescue Society (GEARS). Fundraising progress shown for the event is CA$864.45 raised toward a CA$1,000 goal.
