Mutt Strut 2026 at Hermitage Park, Edmonton
The event is the 9th annual Mutt Strut, a 5 km run and walk held at Hermitage Park picnic site 1 in Edmonton, Alberta. The program includes an in person event plus two virtual options so participants can complete the 5 km remotely before the stated deadline.
All participants receive a finisher medal. T shirts are guaranteed for registrations made by August 1. Early race kit pickup is available in advance at the Running Room on 109 Street. The local virtual option includes a swag bag available for pickup until September 20; the remote virtual option does not include the swag bag.
Leashed dogs are welcome on the course. Participants are asked not to use prong collars, choke chains, or other aversive training tools during the event. Awards are planned for the top three fundraisers and there is a prize for team spirit.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Greater Edmonton Animal Rescue Society (GEARS). The Running Room is listed among the event sponsors. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
