Mutt Strut 2026 : event description
The 9th Annual Mutt Strut is a 5 km run/walk at Hermitage Park Picnic Site 1 in Edmonton, Alberta, on August 29, 2026. The event offers an in-person 5 km run/walk and two virtual options: a local virtual entry that includes a swag bag available for pickup until September 20, and a remote virtual entry without a swag bag.
Leashed dogs are welcome to join participants on the course. Organizers request that prong collars, choke chains, and other aversive training tools not be used during the event. All participants receive a finisher medal, and registrations made by August 1 are guaranteed to receive a race T-shirt in the requested size.
Prizes are awarded to the top three fundraisers and for team spirit. Advance race package pickup is organized at the Running Room in St. Albert in the days before the event. Sponsors include Running Room and So Fetch Pet Spa & Boutique.
