11th Mushroom Cap Half Marathon and FunGi 5 Miler
The event takes place on November 7, 2026 in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. It offers two distances and a course that moves through borough streets, quiet neighborhoods, and scenic country roads near historic sites and mushroom farms.

The course includes several hills and a downhill finish. Runners will pass turn of the century barns, Revolutionary War sites, iconic mushroom farms, and streets lined with live oak trees over 100 years old. The half marathon has multiple hydration stations along the route; the 5 Miler has two stations. Each station provides water and electrolytes. Port a pots will be available at the start and finish and along both courses.
Time limits are 3.5 hours from each participant start time for both races. Minimum age is 14 for the half marathon and 10 for the 5 Miler. Chip timing will be provided using the MYLAPS BibTag Timing System. Race bibs must be visible, unaltered, and pinned on all four corners to receive an accurate time.
Packet pickup is scheduled at Delaware Running Company on November 4 and at Victory Brewing Company on November 6, with a short pre race pickup window on November 7. Parking is listed at several nearby lots including Kennett High School, the YMCA pool lot, and the municipal lot.
Post race amenities include a finisher medal, event swag, food options, free beer at the celebration until 12:30 PM, live music, and a community festival. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
