11th Mushroom Cap Half Marathon and FunGi 5 Miler
The event takes place in Kennett Square, PA on November 7, 2026. It offers two measured road race distances that travel through the borough and surrounding country roads, passing historic barns, Revolutionary War sites, mushroom farms, and mature live oak trees. The courses include notable hills and a downhill finish section. The start line is at Birch Street and Church Alley.
Distances
- Half Marathon : time limit 3.5 hours from participant start time
- FunGi 5 Miler : time limit 3.5 hours from participant start time
Race services include multiple hydration stations on the half marathon course and two stations on the 5 Miler, each providing water and electrolytes. Port-a-pots are provided at the start/finish and along both courses. Chip timing uses the MYLAPS BibTag system; bibs must be visible, unaltered, pinned on all four corners, and not covered to ensure accurate times.
Parking for participants and spectators is available at Kennett High School, the YMCA outdoor pool lot, and the municipal parking lot; the municipal lot is approximately half a mile from the start. Course rules prohibit dogs, bicycles, roller skates, in-line skates, and unauthorized wheeled vehicles. Minimum ages are 14 for the half marathon and 10 for the 5 Miler.
