Mullet Festival 5K Run/Walk & Fun Runs
The event takes place at Lillian Recreation Park in Lillian, Alabama, with the address 33914 Widell Avenue. It is the annual Mullet Festival and is the largest fundraising event of the year for the Optimist Club of Perdido Bay.

The 5K course is certified and runs on rolling, rural roads that are both paved and dirt. Water is available on the course. An aid EMT truck will be present. Participants receive a race tee shirt for certain registration windows and a post-event refreshment area is provided; refreshments include snacks, drinks, and beer. Breakfast and lunch are available for purchase on site.
Registration fees vary by event and timing. Advance registration information and a lower fee are offered before a stated cutoff date, with higher fees for later registration. Same-day registration is available.
Awards are offered across multiple categories. For the 5K run there are overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards for men and women, age-group awards by many standard ranges, and awards for masters 40+, grand masters 50+ and senior grand masters 60+. Separate awards are listed for 5K walkers and for 5K wheelchair finishers. The 1 Mile fun run includes medals for the top male and female registered finishers and ribbons for finishers.
