Event overview
Nuclear Mud Tribe is a muddy obstacle course event held in Brentwood, Essex. The event offers family-friendly and adult options with mud, foam and a variety of obstacles. Organisers state the course is designed so no upper body strength is required and water obstacles do not include full water submersion. Participants move at their own pace as there is no chip timing. The event provides finisher medals, a free finisher photo, hot wash-downs, changing rooms and a bag drop.
Race details
- 1.5 km : approx. 1 hour; age 4+ (ages 4–15 must be accompanied by a paying adult)
- 5 km : approx. 2 hours; age 7+ (ages 7–15 must be accompanied by a paying adult)
- Mud Tribe Blast : 6 km (intermediate)
- Mud Tribe Sisters : 5 km (female-only option introduced after the inaugural 2025 event)
The organisers note the course includes a wide variety of achievable obstacles and that professional photos are taken on course. Spectators are welcome with varying access and fees.
Location and logistics
The event site is in Brentwood, Essex, described as roughly 15 minutes from the A12, M25 and M11.
