Mud Tribe
Mud Tribe is a muddy obstacle-course run held at Nuclear Mud Tribe in Brentwood, Essex (Kelvedon Hatch). The event offers two course lengths and is presented as accessible to a wide range of ages and abilities.
Participants can choose between:
- 1.5 km : family-friendly shorter course
- 5 km : full Mud Tribe course
Both courses use a variety of obstacles that organisers describe as achievable without upper body strength. The event includes mud and foam features and water obstacles that do not require full water submersion. There is no chip timing so participants may go at their own pace. Finish-line provisions include a finisher medal, a free finisher photo, hot wash-downs, changing rooms, and a bag drop. Parking is free at event sites and is within a short walking distance.
The 1.5 km option is intended for families with younger children; under-16s must be accompanied by a paying adult. The 5 km programme also offers a female-only Sisters wave. The event page lists the next race date as 5 September 2026. Transport notes state the site is about 15 minutes by taxi from Brentwood station and Epping Underground station.
