The MTC Vampire
The MTC Vampire is a single-day ultra running race covering a distance of 38 miles. The course takes participants from Bristol to Bridgwater, following the established route used for the JOGLE event. This race is integrated into a larger 13-day end-to-end challenge of England known as Albion, serving as the ninth day of that series.
The point-to-point route begins in Bristol Filton and concludes at Bridgwater North. There are three timing checkpoints located along the course at approximately 9.1 miles, 17.2 miles, and 26 miles. Participants are required to maintain a minimum average speed of 4 mph throughout the event.

This is a cup-free event, meaning runners must carry their own reusable drinking vessels. Mandatory equipment for all participants includes a backpack, head torch with spare batteries, compass or GPS device, whistle, mobile phone, first aid kit, and an emergency food pack. The organizer provides a tracking device to each runner to monitor progress and for safety via an inbuilt SOS button.
Course maps and GPX files are provided specifically to entrants four weeks before the event. The field is limited to a maximum of 40 runners, which includes 20 individual race entries and 20 participants from the Albion multi-day challenge. All finishers receive a bespoke medal, and trophies are awarded to the male and female champions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
