The MTC Oilliphéist is a challenging 58-mile ultra marathon held in Galway, Ireland, starting at the Nox Hotel and finishing at the Woodfield Hotel in Clifden. It forms Day 8 of the 14-day Mount to Coast MizMal® End to End Challenge, which covers the west coast of Ireland. The route largely follows the MizMal® cycling path, offering a scenic and demanding course with multiple checkpoints and strict time cut-offs based on a minimum 4 mph pace.
The event is limited to 40 runners, including MizMal® participants, and requires mandatory safety gear and navigation equipment. Finishers receive a bespoke medal, with trophies awarded to male and female champions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
