Galway Mini Marathon
The Galway Mini Marathon is scheduled for Monday 1 February 2027 and is presented as an event connected with St Brigid's Day. Entry costs €25 and entrants without an Athletics Ireland license must pay an additional ODL fee of €2.
Number collection is at Craughwell AC Junior club house (H91 R5XY) with sessions on Sunday 31 January from 18:00 to 20:00 and on Monday 1 February from 08:30 to 10:15. Main event car parks are Craughwell Athletic Club (H91 R5XY) and Craughwell GAA car park (H91 HR0F), both located beside registration. Additional parking is available at St Michael’s hall (H91 X028) about 1 km from registration and other village options within 2 km.
The course includes two water stations at 3.5 km and 6.5 km sponsored by Borrisoleigh Bottling Ltd. Pacers will be available for 50, 55 and 60 minutes. Walkers are permitted, including those with buggies or dogs on a lead, and are requested to start from the back of the field. There is a two hour cut off after which marshals will be removed from the course. Participants receive a finisher’s medal. Prize money is listed for top finishers and for the first junior competitor.
