Galway Mini Marathon
The Galway Mini Marathon is held on St. Brigid's Day, Monday 1st of February 2027. The event promotes participation under the tagline "Be a Galway Girl on Brigid's Day." Entry requires a fee of €25; entrants without an Athletics Ireland License pay an additional ODL fee of €2.
Number pick up is at Craughwell AC Junior club house (H91 R5XY) on Sunday 31st of January from 18:00 to 20:00 and on Monday 1st of February from 08:30 to 10:15. Main event car parks are Craughwell Athletic Club (H91 R5XY) and Craughwell GAA car park (H91 HR0F), both adjacent to registration and opened before 08:30 on the event day. St Michael’s hall (H91 X028) is an alternative parking option about 1 km from registration. The start line will be marked by two large Craughwell Athletic Club flags.
The course includes two water stations at 3.5 km and 6.5 km sponsored by Borrisoleigh Bottling Ltd. The event is Period Supportive with sanitary products available in selected toilets and portaloos in partnership with FabLittle Bags. Pacers will be available for 50 minutes, 55 minutes and 60 minutes.
Walkers are welcome, including those with buggies or dogs on a lead; walkers are asked to start from the back of the field. There is a two hour course cut off after which marshals will be removed. All finishers receive a medal. Prize money is 1st €150, 2nd €100, 3rd €50 and First Junior U20 €50. Refunds are not offered; entries may be deferred to the following year.
