Logistics and rules

Competitor numbers are limited to 20 entries plus an additional allowance of 20 MizMal® competitors, giving a maximum of 40. The organisers apply preset cut-off points along the route based on a minimum average speed of 4 mph; competitors who fall below this requirement may be withdrawn. Maps and GPX files are provided to entrants and emailed approximately four weeks before the event. URL issues tracking devices with SOS capability for real-time monitoring. The race is cup-free so competitors should use a reusable cup. Mandatory kit includes a backpack, head torch with spare batteries, route maps, compass or GPS device, whistle, mobile phone and a basic first aid kit including emergency food. Entry fees are non-refundable; published fees are £90 for the standard entry and £155 for the race package that includes an embroidered race shirt and hi-viz jacket. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
