The MTC Leprechaun is a challenging 43-mile ultra marathon held in Ireland, starting from Eccles Hotel in Glengarriff and finishing at the Killarney Court Hotel in Killarney. It forms Day 2 of the Mount to Coast MizMal® series, a 14-day end-to-end challenge across Ireland. The route largely follows the MizMal® cycling path along the scenic Wild Atlantic Way, featuring significant ascents and descents totaling over 1,200 meters.
The event is limited to 40 participants, including MizMal® competitors, and enforces a minimum pace of 4 mph with cut-off checkpoints. Finishers receive a bespoke Leprechaun medal, with optional race apparel available. The race emphasizes self-navigation, mandatory safety gear, and a cup-free policy.
