MTC ENBARR

The MTC ENBARR is a first edition ultra running event on 13 May 2027. It forms Day 7 of the fourteen-day MTC MizMal® end-to-end of Ireland and largely follows the MizMal® route as provided by Wild Atlantic Cycling. The advertised race distance is 35.7 miles. The course starts at Hylands Burren Hotel, Ballyvaughan, and finishes at the Nox Hotel, Galway. All finishers receive an ENBARR medal; male and female champions receive bespoke trophies.

Route, entry and rules

Competitor numbers are limited to 20 race entries plus up to 20 MizMal® competitors (maximum 40 on-course). Entry options and fees are: standard entry £90.00 and a Plus Race Package £155.00, which includes an embroidered race shirt and hi-viz race jacket if ordered at least four weeks before the event. All payments are non-refundable; a personal cancellation insurance option and a defer option (fee £15) are available at booking.

The event uses preset cut-offs based on a minimum average speed of 4.0 mph; falling below this will lead to withdrawal. Check-points are at approximately 9.1 miles, 17.0 miles and 25.4 miles, with a cup-free policy at feeds. Mandatory kit includes a backpack, head torch with spare batteries, route maps, compass or GPS device, whistle, mobile phone, basic first aid and an emergency food pack.
