MTC May Aquathlon Series
The MTC May Aquathlon is part of a five-race series held at the Trafford Water Sports Centre within Sale Water Park. This mid-week event takes place on Tuesday evenings and offers multisport racing for both adults and junior participants. The venue is accessible by car with parking near the boathouse restaurant or via a short walk from the Sale Water Park Metrolink stop.
The event structure consists of a swim followed by a run. Participants can choose to enter individual races or the complete five-race series. Adult and youth categories are available based on the following distances:
- Adults (15+): 800m swim and 5km run
- TriStar 3 / Youths: 400m swim and 2.5km run
The 800m swim for adults is a two-lap course, followed by a 5km two-lap run course. Junior athletes complete half of these distances. Registration opens on the evening of the race, where participants receive a race number.
Participants who are not members of a British Triathlon Home Nation are required to purchase a British Triathlon Race Pass for the event. All participants must present an up-to-date race licence or obtain the required pass during the registration process. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
