MTC Abhartach

MTC Abhartach is a 46.7-mile ultra race from the Westport Woods Hotel & Spa to Murphys Hotel in Tobercurry, County Mayo, Ireland. NEW for 2026, it sits within the Mount to Coast End to End Challenge and also serves as Day 10 of MizMal, a 14-day endurance series along Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way. The course largely follows the MizMal route down the west coast, with four check-points and about 1,941 ft of ascent.

Finisher rewards include a bespoke medal; optional embroidered race shirt and hi‑viz jacket. It’s a cup-free event with maps/GPX for entrants and a cap of 40 runners (20 Abhartach, 20 MizMal) with 4 mph cutoffs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
