The MTC Abhartach is a challenging 46.7-mile ultra marathon held in Ireland, starting at Westport Woods Hotel & Spa and finishing at Murphys Hotel in Tobercurry. It forms Day 10 of the 14-day Mount to Coast MizMal® End to End Challenge, which covers the Irish west coast. The route follows the MizMal® cycling path, featuring a total ascent of 1,941 feet and descent of 1,754 feet.
The race limits participants to 40 runners, including MizMal® competitors, and enforces a minimum pace of 4 mph with cut-off times at checkpoints.
