About the race
The Mt. Sneffels event in Ouray County, Colorado combines road running with local community support. It is scheduled for August 21, 2027, and is organized in partnership with the Mount Sneffels Education Foundation.

The half marathon starts in Ouray and finishes at Ridgway Athletic Park/Frontier Field; the 10K and Kids Fun Run use Ridgway Athletic Park/Frontier Field for start and finish. The course runs along scenic Ouray County roads and is noted as 99% dirt surface. All race participants receive a finisher medal. The half marathon and 10K include a shirt and size guarantee for runners who register before July 1.
Logistics and rules: packet pickup is the day before the race at Ridgway Athletic Park/Frontier Field. The Kids Fun Run allows day-of registration in the morning at the park pavilion; there is no day-of registration for the half marathon and 10K except for bib pickup. All races are cupless; participants should bring their own water container. The event is limited to the first 500 registrants. Pets, strollers, and bicycles are not allowed on the course.
