Macedon Trail Runs

Macedon Trail Runs is a mountain trail event held at Mount Macedon, Cameron Drive, Mt Macedon VIC 3441. The course uses forested ridge trails within the Macedon Regional Park and offers varied terrain with ascents and descents. Visibility on the trails can be limited when winter fog is present.

The event includes multiple distance options and provides course maps, downloadable PDFs and GPS files (GPX and CRS) for each route. The start and finish are located at the BBQ area next to the carpark at the top of the mountain, a setting described as suitable for families to picnic while waiting for finishers and for presentations.

Registration is tiered with different fee bands and on day registration is available at a higher price. Trailsplus uses the Humanitix ticketing system. The event donates $1 per participant to Canteen; Trailsplus reports total donations surpassing $80,000. In 2024 the event had 311 competitors and a total donation of $382 to Canteen.
