Mt Beauty Running Festival
The Mt Beauty Running Festival takes place on Saturday 16 May 2026 at the Mount Beauty Secondary College oval, Pool Road, Mt Beauty, Victoria. The event is held in the Upper Kiewa Valley during autumn and highlights local fall colours.
The programme includes multiple distance options:
- 3 km run
- 10.6 km run
- 21.1 km run
- 18 km trail run
A Schools Challenge offers a $250 cash prize for the winning school. Teams may include students and staff across any of the four events. Points are awarded to the top five overall finishers in each team and the team with the lowest average points wins.
The festival is community run and relies on volunteers and local support. Food and drinks will be available on site, with a bake sale and BBQ run by Mt Beauty Playgroup; proceeds support the playgroup. Organisers have introduced a plastic cup free policy at on-course drink stations. Participants are expected to carry their own drink bottle or hydration pack; water and sports drink are available at stations for refills.
