MR Half Marathon
The MR Half Marathon is scheduled for October 31, 2026, at Morgantown Running on Beechurst Avenue in Morgantown, West Virginia. The event includes a half marathon and a kids one-mile race on a rail trail.
The half marathon is an out-and-back course that starts behind the Seneca Center and follows the rail trail toward the Point Marion / Sheepskin Rail Trail for 6.55 miles before turning around and returning to the start. The route is described as straight and flat. The surface is pavement for just under three miles, then crushed limestone. Runners can expect shade and views of the Monongahela River along the course.

Course services and rules include a four hour time limit, provided energy gels on course, and water stations at miles 2, 3, 5, 8, 10, and 11. Dogs are not permitted in the race.
Logistics note that online registration closes October 24, and in-person registration is available in store with cash or check and during packet pick-up. Early packet pick-up is scheduled at Morgantown Running the day before the race and race morning packet pick-up is available. Parking is allowed in the Seneca Center lot; the garage under Seneca Village Apartments is reserved for residents. The first 245 registrants will receive event swag. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and first place age group awards across multiple age divisions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
