MR Half Marathon
The MR Half Marathon takes place in Morgantown, West Virginia on October 31, 2026. The main event is a 13.1 mile half marathon held on the rail trail behind the Seneca Center. The course is described as straight, flat, and fast. Runners follow the trail toward the Point Marion / Sheepskin Rail Trail for 6.55 miles before turning around to return to the start. The route begins on pavement for just under three miles and then continues on crushed limestone. Participants can expect shade and views of the Monongahela River.
The event also includes a 1 mile kids race on the rail trail, out and back toward the Core Arboretum for 0.5 miles each way.

Course safety notes: dogs are not permitted. There is a four hour time limit. Nutrition support includes gels on course and water at miles 2, 3, 5, 8, 10, and 11. The first 245 registrants receive event swag. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to first place finishers in standard age groups from 19 and under through 90 and up. The race is listed as race number 17 in the NCWV series. Online registration closes October 24. In-person registration is available in store during regular business hours and during packet pick-up. Parking is available in the Seneca Center parking lot; the garage under Seneca Village Apartments is reserved for residents. No refunds.
