Move with Moosic 5K Run/Walk
The Move with Moosic 5k Run/Walk is scheduled for June 7, 2026 in Moosic, Pennsylvania at the Moosic Youth Center. The event includes a community 5K course and a separate children’s fun run.
Distances:
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- Kid's quarter mile fun run (400 m), free for ages 10 and under
The 5K course begins at the Moosic Youth Center, continues along Main Street and Minooka Avenue to Felter Field, passes the Moosic High Alumni Memorial and Edmond Piaski Park on Elm Street, follows Spring Street to Mary Ann Nawrocki Park, and loops back to the Youth Center.
Registration opens February 14 and closes June 4. The standard registration fee is $30 and includes a commemorative t-shirt; same day registration is accepted for an increased fee and t-shirt availability is not guaranteed. Packet pickup location will be announced prior to the event. Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in specified age groups.
Proceeds support park and green space improvements in Moosic Borough. Past fundraising raised $45,000 and funded projects such as resurfacing a basketball court at Smerdon Park, replacing an exterior door at the Moosic Youth Center, purchasing mulch for the Moosic Red Wings playground, and upgrading security cameras at Mercatili Segilia Park. Funds raised in 2026 will help update Edmond Piaski Park and support park planning and matching grant efforts. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
