Move with Moosic 5K Run/Walk
The Move with Moosic 5K Run/Walk is an annual community event in Moosic Borough, Pennsylvania. This event brings participants together to support the local environment, with all proceeds dedicated to the rejuvenation and reimagining of green spaces and parks throughout the borough. Previous editions have funded improvements at Edmond Piaski Park, Smerdon Park, and the Moosic Youth Center.
The course begins at the Moosic Youth Center and follows a route through the community. Participants travel down Main Street and Minooka Avenue toward Felter Field. The path then continues past the Moosic High Alumni Memorial and Edmond Piaski Park on Elm Street, proceeds up Spring Street to Mary Ann Nawrocki Park, and loops back to conclude at the Moosic Youth Center.
Available distances include:
- 5 km run/walk
- 1/4 mile kids fun run
The kids fun run is a free event specifically for children aged 10 and under. For the 5 km participants, registration includes a commemorative t-shirt. Medals are presented to the top three runners in designated age groups. While pre-registration is recommended, same-day registration is available at the start location.
