Move with Moosic 5k Run/Walk
Move with Moosic is a community running event in Moosic Borough held on June 7, 2026. The event features a main 5k run/walk that begins and ends at the Moosic Youth Center and follows a course along Main Street and Minooka Avenue to Felter Field, past the Moosic High Alumni Memorial and Edmond Piaski Park on Elm Street, up Spring Street to Mary Ann Nawrocki Park, then back to the Youth Center. A new Kid’s 1/4 mile fun run follows the 5k and is open to children ages 10 and under.

Registration for the 5k has a fee of $30 and includes a commemorative t-shirt; the kids fun run is free. Registration opens February 14 and closes June 4. Same-day registration is accepted for a higher fee and t-shirt availability is not guaranteed. Medals will be awarded to the top three runners in specific age groups. Packet pickup location will be announced prior to the event.
Proceeds support park and green space improvements across Moosic Borough. Previous fundraising of $45,000 supported projects such as updates to Edmond Piaski Park, resurfacing a basketball court at Smerdon Park, safety and accessibility work at the Moosic Youth Center, playground mulch purchases, and upgraded security cameras at Mercatili Segilia Park.
