Mountaineer Rumble 12 Hour Run
The Mountaineer Rumble 12 Hour Run is held at Kings Mountain State Park in Clover, SC. The event uses a 4.5 mile loop that stays on established park routes for the duration of the 12 hour event. Runners may complete as many loops as they choose.
The loop highlights portions of the National Recreation Trail (Blue Blaze), the CCC Multi Use Trail (Orange Blaze), the Living History Farm, and the Historic Farm Trail (Yellow Blaze. Course scenery includes views of Lake Crawford and Lake Crawford Dam, creeks, rolling hills, and farm animals such as horses, cattle, and donkeys. The event description notes that loops may be run under a full moon.
An aid station and a drop bag area are located on the course so participants pass their gear and the aid station on every loop. Organizers provide fluids including water, Gatorade, Tailwind, and Skratch; food items and gels are the responsibility of each runner. Organizers cover required park insurance and admission fees for entrants and there is special pricing for 2026.
