Mountaineer Rumble 12 Hour
The Mountaineer Rumble 12 hour is an overnight trail running event held at Kings Mountain State Park in Clover, SC and organized by Mountaineer Rumble Events. Participants run a repeated 4.5 mile loop over the course of the 12 hour event. The loop follows sections of the National Recreation Trail (Blue Blaze), the CCC Multi Use Trail (Orange Blaze), the Living History Farm, and the Historic Farm Trail (Yellow Blaze).
The route provides views of Lake Crawford and Lake Crawford Dam, creeks, rolling hills, and farm animals at the Living History Farm on each circuit, with running under a full moon noted for the event. Runners pass their aid station and drop bag area each lap, giving access to race provided fluids and personal gear without leaving the course.
Organizers cover park insurance and per runner admission fees and list special pricing for 2026. The event provides water, Gatorade, Tailwind, and Skratch; food and gels are the responsibility of each runner. The stated goal is to highlight portions of the Kings Mountain State Park trail system and to support further improvements to the park.
