Mountain Creek Mayhem is a trail running event held at Pine Grove Furnace State Park in Gardners, PA, organized by Meatball Runners. The event offers three distances:

• 50K
• 20 Miler
• Half Marathon

Race headquarters are in the grassy field behind the bath house at Fuller Lake Day Use Area at Pine Grove Furnace State Park, with on-site bathrooms, showers, and parking. Race day registration will be accepted in 2026 and online registration closes on September 12, 2026.

The 50K course is about 33 miles with more than 4,400 feet of elevation gain. Terrain includes sandstone boulder ridgelines, woodland savannah, mountain laurel, wild blueberry, single-track, pine-needle trails, grassy double track, and technical forest paths. Aid stations are located at roughly miles 5.5, 10.2, 15.8, 19.4, 22.9, 26.6 and 30.2 and provide water, electrolyte drink, sodas, fruit, potatoes or chips, Fritos, cookies including gluten-free options, gels, blocks, stroop waffles, candy, Rice Krispie treats, pickles, occasional meatballs, and menstrual products. One drop bag location is available at Brickyard Aid Station and there is crew access at Brickyard and Laurel Lake. The 50K time limit is 10 hours.

The 20 Miler follows the first 20 miles of the 50K, with about 3,000 feet of elevation gain. Aid stations are at roughly miles 5.5, 10.2 and 15.8, with similar nutrition offerings. There is no drop bag option or crew access for the 20 Miler. The time limit is 7 hours.

The Half Marathon is about 13.1 miles with over 1,400 feet of elevation gain. Aid stations are at roughly miles 3.3, 6.9 and 10.5. Crew access is available at the Laurel Lake aid station. There is no drop bag option for the half marathon. The half marathon time limit is 7 hours and awards are based on lowest completion times with no separate hike or ruck divisions.
