Mountain Creek Mayhem
Mountain Creek Mayhem is scheduled for September 19, 2026 in Gardners, Pennsylvania, at Pine Grove Furnace State Park (Fuller Lake Day Use Area). The event is organized by the Meatball Runners and offers multiple trail distances on courses routed through the northern Michaux State Forest.
Distances available:
- 50K: 33ish miles, 4400+ feet elevation gain
- 20 Miler: 20 miles, 3000 feet elevation gain
- Half Marathon: 13.1ish miles, 1400+ feet elevation gain
The courses use a mix of single-track, double-track, rocky descents, ridgelines, pine-needle carpet, and grassy sections. Terrain features sandstone boulder ridgelines, mountain laurel, and wild blueberry areas. Aid stations are placed at named mileages on each course and provide water, electrolyte drink, soda, fruit, chips and other snack items; menstrual products are also listed among aid options.
Race headquarters are located in the grassy field behind the bathhouse at the Fuller Lake Day Use Area. Facilities include bathrooms, showers, and parking. Race day registration is available in 2026; online registration closes the week before the event on September 12, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET.
Service details by distance include a single drop bag location and crew access for the 50K along with a 10 hour time limit. The 20 Miler and Half Marathon have no drop bag option; the 20 Miler has no crew access and a 7 hour time limit, and the Half Marathon lists crew access at Laurel Lake with a 7 hour time limit.
