Mount Pleasant City All-American Triathlon
The Mount Pleasant City All-American Triathlon is a reverse sprint triathlon held in Mt. Pleasant, Utah. This event structure differs from traditional triathlons by beginning with the run and concluding with the swim. The course is based around the Mt. Pleasant Aquatic Center.
The event consists of three distinct segments:
- 5 km run through residential neighborhoods
- 12.5 mile out and back bike ride on rural roads
- 300 yard swim in an indoor pool
The run portion utilizes local residential streets and features a downhill section leading into the transition area. The cycling leg takes place on open public roads, passing through local farmlands and back roads. Participants share these roads with vehicle traffic during the out and back course.
