Event Overview
The Mount Nebo Chicken Fried 10k is a running and walking event held in Dardanelle, Arkansas. It is the final event in the Tri Peak Series organized by River Valley Runners.
Event Details
The event features three participant options:
- Mount Nebo Chicken Fried 10k – A 10 km run.
- Mount Nebo Chicken fry 10k walk only – A 10 km walk.
- Mount Nebo Chicken Fry 10k Virtual – A virtual option for the 10 km distance.
The course is paved and starts at the bottom of Mount Nebo, across the road from a Dollar General store located at 1242 State Highway 22. After participants reach the top of the mountain, a shuttle service is available to transport them back to the bottom. Participants also have the option to run back down.
Participants who complete all three races in the Tri Peak Series receive a final medal. Each individual race includes a shirt and a custom medal, with designs changing annually. Discounts are available for signing up for multiple series races.
For the virtual event option, participants can complete the course on their own time. They must send proof of completion, such as a course mapping and time recording from Strava, Garmin, or Coros, via email to receive their race gear.
