Mount Nebo Chicken Fried 10k
The Mount Nebo Chicken Fried 10k is part of the Tri Peak Series and is a 10 km paved uphill course that begins at Rock Street next to the Dollar General in Dardanelle, AR and finishes at the Mount Nebo pool parking lot. The route includes nine switchbacks and a sustained climb to the top of the mountain. At the top there is a shuttle available to return participants to the bottom, or participants may choose to run back down.
The event offers three entry options: a running category, a walking category, and a virtual 10 km option. The race uses chip timing; participants must cross the starting mat and the finish mat to record a time, and the chip should be securely attached to the shoe. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in both runner and walker categories, plus top three age-group awards in ten-year increments from 0-9 up to 80+.
Same-day registration and packet pickup are available at the start line on Rock Street on race day. Parking is available across the street from Rock Street; participants are asked not to park in the Dollar General lot or surrounding business lots. Each race entry includes a shirt and a custom medal; completing all three series races earns a final series medal.
