Event Overview
The Mount Nebo Chicken Fried 10k takes place on Saturday, August 29, 2026, in Dardanelle, Arkansas. It is the final event of the Tri Peak Series organized by River Valley Runners. The race offers three participation formats: a standard 10 km run, a 10 km walk-only event, and a virtual 10 km option.
Course Details
The course is paved. It starts at the bottom of Mount Nebo, near a Dollar General store on State Highway 22. The route goes to the top of the mountain. A shuttle service is available at the summit to transport participants back down to the base, or they can choose to run back down.
Event Features
The registration fee for the in-person events is $35, while the virtual option costs $40. Registration closes on August 27, 2026. All participants receive a race t-shirt and a custom finisher's medal. Completing all three races in the Tri Peak Series awards an additional, distinct series medal.
Discounts
The event is part of a bundle. Signing up for all three races in the Tri Peak Series gives a 15% discount per event. A 10% discount applies for registering for two of the three races.
