Mount Melleray Trail, County Waterford
Mount Melleray Trail is a trail race scheduled for Sunday 16 August 2026 in County Waterford. The course is listed at 8.00 km with a total climb of 250 m. The event is assigned difficulty category 3 (1,1,1). Only major junctions will be marked and the use of GPS devices is not allowed.
The race is part of the Coillte Summer/Autumn Trail League, Munster. Entry is limited to 250 competitors. Entry fees are €7 for seniors and €5 for over 65s and under 18s. Entry opens 20 July 2026 and closes 25 July 2026.
Mandatory Level B standard kit applies and must be carried as required. The specified items are a waterproof jacket; hat or buff; gloves; whistle; charged mobile phone with the emergency number stored; and a foil blanket, bivvy bag, or equivalent. The exact kit to be carried during the race will be finalised on the day and announced at registration. Competitors should be able to carry the required items. Failure to have required items may result in denial of entry or disqualification; random kit checks may be carried out.
Volunteer roles are recorded for the event and a minimum number of non-running volunteer duties in the year is required to qualify for end-of-year prizes. Carpooling arrangements are managed through the organiser's member portal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
