Mount Helena Run
The Mount Helena Run is a trail race organized by the Helena Vigilante Runners. The 50th edition takes place on September 26, 2026, in Helena, Montana, with the event address at Last Chance Gulch and Broadway.
The main distance is 9 km (5.6 miles) with approximately 1,300 feet of elevation gain and loss. The course includes about 1.5 miles on roads and more than 4 miles on single-track trails. The route climbs Mount Helena and returns toward Last Chance Gulch in downtown Helena, with views of the City of Helena, Prickly Pear Valley, and the Elkhorn and Big Belt Mountains. The race start is listed at Birds & Beaselys on the Walking Mall.
Registration opens May 1, 2026 and closes September 1, 2026. The registration fee listed is $30. Packet pickup is available before the race. Race swag is guaranteed only for the first 100 participants. Dogs and strollers are not permitted on the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
