About the race
The Mount Glorious Mountain Trails is a trail running event near White Cedar Park, Dundas (4306) held on Sunday 8 November 2026. The event features two main race distances and will host the Queensland Mountain Running Championships for the 22 km race and the Queensland U20 Junior Mountain Running Championships within the 11 km race.
The routes:
- 22 km with 1,200 m total ascent and 650 m descent.
- 11 km with 340 m ascent and 340 m descent.
Both courses use single-track rainforest trails, stone-lined ridge sections and include steep climbs and runnable sections. The 22 km course passes England Creek (a manned midpoint checkpoint) and finishes near Maiala Park. The 11 km course is an out-and-back along Joyners Ridge Road before returning to the western ridge single trail to the same finish area.
Logistics note that the only access to the start line is by bus from Samford Soccer Club; bus travel is included in the entry fee. Water management is required: runners must carry at least 1 litre in a refillable container because there are no cups. There are two manned checkpoints offering water, electrolytes and snacks plus two self-help water points. The event has a restricted field (200 in 2026) and published cut-off times for each distance.
