Mothers Day Flower Fun Run
The Mothers Day Flower Fun Run takes place on Sunday May 10, 2026 at Dows Lake in Ottawa. It is an official Canadian Tulip Festival event; the festival displays over 300,000 tulips. The run uses a closed course that passes through festival areas.
The race distances are listed below
- 1 km Kids Run for ages 12 and under, medal included
- 5 km Course run as a loop and offered in two time categories
Registration is limited to 600 participants. Included with registration are a personalized race bib, professional timing, on-course nutrition provided by XACT, race photography sponsored by the Canadian Tulip Festival, and post-race snacks. The finisher's medal is an optional add-on with a deadline of April 10. Shirt orders must be placed by March 30. Online registration to have a name included on the Athlete Wall closes May 5 at 6 pm; after that registration is subject to availability.
Bib pickup is scheduled Saturday May 9 from 3 pm to 6 pm at Full Cycle Hintonburg and Sunday May 10 starting at 11:30 am at the Tulip Festival near Preston and Queen Elizabeth Drive. Course details are provided via Strava files and participants have access to a virtual orientation video and an athlete handbook. Refunds are available only with purchased cancellation insurance.
