Event Information
The Mothers Day Flower Fun Run takes place in May as part of the Canadian Tulip Festival at Dows Lake in Ottawa. The course offers views of the tulip fields. The event is capped at 600 participants.
Available Distances
Two distances are offered with separate start times:
- 1K: A kids' run for ages 12 and under, which includes a finisher's medal.
- 5K: Two waves are available: one for participants aiming for a time under 35 minutes, and another for walking or strolling (over 35 minutes).
Included with Registration
Registration includes a personalized race bib, professional timing, race photography, and post-race snacks. Podium prizes are awarded to the top three male, female, and non-binary athletes in the 5K event.
Practical Details
Bib pickup is available the day before at Full Cycle Hintonburg, or on race day near the Tulip Festival site. Online registration closes in early May. Event t-shirts and finisher medals are available as optional add-ons before specific deadlines. Refunds are only issued if cancellation insurance is purchased at the time of registration.
