Mothers Day Flower Fun Run
The event takes place at Dows Lake in Ottawa on Mother's Day. It offers a closed, lakeside course designed to be beginner friendly and runs through scenery featuring more than 300,000 tulips associated with the Canadian Tulip Festival.
The main distance is a 5K presented for first time runners, with separate options for faster participants and for those who run, walk or stroll at a slower pace. A 1K kids run for ages 12 and under is also offered and includes a medal.
Included with entry are on-course XACT nutrition stations, hydration stations, race photos, a finisher medal, podium prizes, a race bib, professional timing, live music and washrooms. The course is described as scenic and closed to traffic.
