Grampians Peaks Trail 100 Miler : event overview
The Grampians Peaks Trail 100 Miler takes place along the Grampians Peaks Trail in Gariwerd, Grampians National Park. The full GPT route measures about 162 km with roughly 7,700 metres of elevation gain, running from Mt Zero in the north to Dunkeld in the south. Much of the route passes through remote, rocky wilderness and is organised with major aid stations dividing the trail into four sections. Halls Gap serves as the event basecamp and headquarters for the November 5 to 8, 2026 edition. Entries for 2026 are open.
Race formats and distances include:
- GPT100 Miler: 162 km solo or pairs
- GPT100 Stage Race: 100 miles over four days
- GPT100 Miler Team Relay: teams of four on the full course
- GPT100 Stage Race Team Relay: teams of three across four stages
- GPT50K: northern section from Mt Zero to Halls Gap
- GPT33: final day section with southern peaks to Dunkeld
- Dunkeld 2k Junior Trail: community junior event
- Dunkeld 5k Family Trail: community family event
The event is presented by ASICS, has Visit Victoria as a major partner, and is delivered by SingleTrack Events. The GPT100 is part of the World Trail Majors series. Finishers of the 2026 GPT100 Miler (solo or pairs) will be eligible to enter the Hardrock 100 lottery for 2027 and 2028, and the miler will be a qualifying race moving forward, providing two years of Hardrock lottery eligibility for finishers.
