About the race
The Grampians Peaks Trail 100 Miler (GPT100) is a multi-format trail event in Gariwerd, the Grampians National Park, Victoria, Australia. The full Grampians Peaks Trail covers about 162 km with approximately 7,700 m of elevation from Mt Zero in the north to Dunkeld in the south. The route passes through rugged and varied terrain and is divided into four chunks with major aid stations, crossing remote wilderness sections.
The event basecamp and headquarters are located in the central township of Halls Gap. The GPT100 program includes several race formats and distances to cover the trail in different ways:
- GPT100 Miler solo or pairs, full 100 mile route
- GPT100 Stage Race, 100 miles across four days
- GPT100 Miler Team Relay, teams of four on the 100 mile course
- GPT100 Stage Race Team Relay, teams of three across four days
- GPT50K, northern section from Mount Zero to Halls Gap
- GPT33, final-day 33 km section finishing at Dunkeld
- Dunkeld Trail Races, Dunkeld 2k Junior Trail and Dunkeld 5k Family Trail
The GPT100 is presented by ASICS, lists Visit Victoria as a major partner, and is delivered by SingleTrack Events. The race is part of the World Trail Majors series and the GPT100 Miler serves as a qualifying race for the Hardrock 100 and Western States lotteries for specified editions.
