Mother Tuckers 10K - Sunday 4 October 2026
Somer AC presents a chip timed 10 km trail race across mixed terrain with some short sections of tarmac. The route offers wide views of the Somerset countryside, passes the Stony Littleton Long Barrow and includes the feature known as the Incline of Opportunity. Finishers receive a bespoke medal and there are awards for the first male and female athletes in the following categories: Overall, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 plus. Recorded course times from October 2024 are 36:20 for men and 51:05 for women.
Race HQ provides secure baggage drop, showers, free parking, full medical cover and on-course refreshments. Marshals are present along the route and on-course photography will be used for Somer AC social media. Camping can be booked separately at Tuckers Grave Campsite for those making a weekend of the event. Race Nation app integration is supported and entrants receive free access to the RaceReady app which offers medical and performance advice.
Entrants must be at least 15 years old on race day; competitors under 18 require consent from a parent or legal guardian. Canicross is not permitted. Headphones, including bone conduction designs, are not allowed on course. The event is held under an Associated of Running Clubs permit. Transfers are allowed via the Race Nation platform for a fee; there are no deferrals or refunds except a 50% refund if the event is cancelled.
