Mother of All Races
The Mother of All Races is an annual community event organized by the Rotary Club of Canal Fulton. Now entering its 18th year, the event serves as a fundraiser to support local community programs and individuals in need. The race takes place in Canal Fulton, Ohio, with the start and finish lines located at Northwest High School.
Participants can choose from several event distances and formats:
- 10 km Run
- 5 km Run/Walk
- 5 km Competitive Walk
The course routes through the historic downtown area of Canal Fulton and follows the scenic Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath. Registration includes a gender-specific short sleeve performance t-shirt, while unisex long sleeve shirts or hooded sweatshirts are available as optional upgrades. The event features a diverse awards program with categories for overall winners, age groups, and specific team divisions.
A unique feature of this event is the team competition, which offers special pricing for two-person teams consisting of a mother and daughter or a mother and son. Awards are presented to the top three teams in these categories, alongside individual recognition for various age groups ranging from 14 and under to 80 and over. Pre-race packet pickup is available the day before the event at the Northwest Field House. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
