Moscow Mountain Madness
Moscow Mountain Madness is a trail running event on Moscow Mountain offering three course options. The event has roots dating to 1978, was reinstated in 1992 after a hiatus, discontinued a bike division in 2010, and introduced the current half-marathon course in 2011.

All courses are mostly technical single-track with some faster logging roads. The routes include significant climbs and descents and provide views of the Palouse. The 50k route is primarily forest single-track, rarely repeats sections, and will be fully flagged; 50k participants are expected to have access to a GPX file during the race. The 50k has a 10 hour overall cut-off and aid station cut-offs are used to help maintain pace and allow course support to clear the route.
Water stops are placed at 5.5, 9.5 and 10.75 miles on the half marathon and at 3 miles on the five miler. Porta potties are available at the start and finish. Parking is limited and organizers request carpooling. Registration is pre-registration only and refunds are not offered. Volunteers are used for tasks such as parking, bib pickup, start and finish shifts, aid stations, and course marking and sweeping. No dogs and no headphones are allowed.
