Event Information

The Morley 10k is a volunteer-led, not-for-profit 10 km road race organized by Morley Running Club. The event takes place on October 4th in Morley, Leeds. This year marks the fifth anniversary of the race.

The Course

The course is a single-lap, closed-road route around the historic streets of Morley. It features two out-and-back sections and a three-way crossover point. The route is described as undulating with some slopes. The race is suitable for wheelchair racers, who are asked to contact the organizers about specific requirements. The roads reopen approximately 120 minutes after the start, after which runners must move to the pavements.

Facilities and Inclusivity

The event provides fully marshaled and signposted support. Facilities include water stations, distance markers, toilets at the start, finish, and race HQ (Crank Studios), and a baggage drop. There are no changing facilities or showers. The race uses chip timing, and all runners receive a sustainable medal and a digital goody bag. The event is open to runners aged 15 and over on race day.

Entry and Finances

Entry is online only; entry on the day is not available. The entry fee is £21.00 for unaffiliated runners and £19.00 for affiliated runners. The event raises funds for local good causes. Refunds are permitted if requested at least 28 days before race day, but deferrals are not available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
