CBTE Morland Half Marathon
The CBTE Morland Half Marathon is a trail half marathon held in the Eden Valley, starting and finishing in the village of Morland near Penrith. The route is largely off-road on mixed terrain and includes 1330 ft of elevation. It passes rivers, becks, woodlands, pastures and several Eden Valley villages.
The course is largely self-navigated but has some signage and uses parts of the Morland Marathon route. The event is open to runners and walkers and has a minimum age of 17 on the event date. Entry fees are listed as Affiliated £37.00 and Unaffiliated £39.00. Entries open 4 August 2026 and close 25 July 2027, and entry requires registration with SiEntries.
The entry fee includes a finishers medal and support at two checkpoints with water and snacks. Trophies are awarded to first male, first female and first non-binary finishers, plus first male and female in 50, 60 and 70 age categories. The event offers an option to purchase XCover to allow a possible refund in specified circumstances. An OS Maps route is provided for navigation.
