Event Overview
The Morgan Center 5K Run and One Mile Walk is an annual community event held at the Language Ministry Center on the First Orlando Campus. This second annual edition supports The Morgan Center, a non-profit organization that provides a safe preschool environment for children undergoing cancer treatment. These programs allow children with suppressed immune systems to socialize and interact safely during chemotherapy.
Participants can choose from several event formats:
- 5K Run: A timed race using chipped bibs.
- 1 Mile Walk: An in-person fun walk.
- Virtual 1 Mile Walk: A remote participation option.
Participants in the 5K Run receive an event T-shirt and a finisher medal. Those taking part in the 1 Mile Walk (either in-person or virtual) receive an event T-shirt and a finisher ribbon.
The event includes fundraising opportunities for teams. Any team that raises $1,000 will have their name added to the official race shirts. The course is located at 3000 S John Young Parkway in Orlando, Florida. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
