Mora Half Marathon and 5K
The Mora Half Marathon and 5K is an annual running event held in Mora, Minnesota. The event features multiple distance options for participants, including:
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- 5K (Run/Walk)
- Free Kids Run
The race courses are certified, though adjustments may occur if road construction impacts the route. To assist with navigation, the half marathon route is marked with orange footprints, while the 5K route uses green footprints. Participants in the half marathon must maintain a pace of at least 15 minutes per mile, as official timing and course support end three hours and 15 minutes after the start.
Registration includes a race shirt for those who sign up by the early deadline of August 1, 2026. Available shirt options include unisex and women's slim fit styles. Bib pickup and in person registration take place at the athletic complex behind Mora Elementary and Mora High School.
The event recognizes top performers with specific awards. For the half marathon, trophies are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers. In the 5K, trophies are awarded to the top overall male and female. Both distances award medals to the top three finishers in individual age groups and to the top local male and female finishers from Kanabec County.
