Event overview
The Moovin' Thru the Midway 5K at the Michigan State Fair is scheduled for September 5, 2026 in Novi, Michigan (46100 Grand River Ave.). The course runs through the fairgrounds and passes features such as the Carnival Midway, animal exhibits, and vendor areas. The finish is at the Entertainment Pavilion Beer Tent, where finishers receive medals, light refreshments, free race photos, and a sponsor-branded keepsake photo. Adults 21+ receive a complimentary beer and the post-race area includes live music in the Beer Garden.

Participant items and beneficiary
In-person participants receive a complimentary Ultimate Admission Ticket to the Michigan State Fair (redeemable Saturday, Sunday or Monday), a race dri-fit shirt, finisher medal, race photo, a pint of Guernsey Farms Dairy chocolate milk, Sweetwater's Coffee, and one free beer for those 21 and over. Virtual participants receive a mailed race kit and can submit photos for a branded keepsake image. Proceeds benefit the nonprofit Military Families United.
