Event overview
The Moovin' Thru the Midway 5K at the Michigan State Fair is scheduled for Saturday, September 5, 2026, in Novi, MI at 46100 Grand River Ave. The course runs through the fairgrounds and passes the Carnival Midway, animal areas, and vendor exhibits, finishing at the Entertainment Pavilion Beer Tent. The event includes a post-race celebration with live music, light refreshments, free race photos, and a sponsor-branded keepsake photo. Adults 21+ receive one complimentary beer at the Beer Tent. The in-person 5K is officially chip timed and age group prizes are awarded. Proceeds benefit the nonprofit partner Military Families United.

Entry prices listed are $35 for the 5K Run/Walk and Virtual 5K, and $30 for the Economy 5K. Every in-person participant receives a complimentary Ultimate Admission Ticket to the Michigan State Fair (redeemable Saturday, Sunday or Monday), a unique Moovin’ Thru the Midway 5K dri-fit shirt, finisher medal, race photo, a pint of Guernsey Farms Dairy chocolate milk, Sweetwater's coffee, and one free beer for those 21+.
