Moovin' Thru the Midway 5K
Moovin' Thru the Midway is a 5K event at the Michigan State Fair in Novi, Michigan, held on September 5, 2026. The course runs through the fairgrounds and passes features such as the Carnival Midway, animal exhibits, and vendor areas, and it finishes at the Entertainment Pavilion Beer Tent where a post race celebration offers live music and refreshments.
The in person 5K is professionally chip timed and awards age group prizes to the top three finishers in each category for male and female entrants. In person participants receive a complimentary Ultimate Admission Ticket to the Michigan State Fair (redeemable Saturday, Sunday or Monday only), a Moovin' Thru the Midway 5K dri fit T shirt, a finisher medal, a race photo, a pint of Guernsey Farms Dairy chocolate milk, Sweetwater's coffee, and one free beer at the Beer Tent for participants 21 and older. An economy in person option is offered that does not include the official T shirt or finisher medal but includes fair admission, a race bib, race photo, chocolate milk, coffee, and one free beer for those 21 and older.
A virtual 5K option is available; virtual participants receive a mailed race kit with official swag and a finisher medal, and may submit photos for a sponsor branded keepsake image.
