Mooreland Free Fair 5K Run and Walk

The Mooreland Free Fair 5K Run and Walk takes place on August 15, 2026 at the Mooreland Fairgrounds, 309 S. Broad St., Mooreland, IN. The start line is directly in front of the fairgrounds and ample parking is available.

Both the 5K run and the 5K walk are timed, competitive events. Registration opens April 1 and closes July 17. Through the July 17 deadline registration is $20 without a shirt or $25 with a shirt; after the deadline the fee increases to $25 and a shirt is not guaranteed. A registration processing fee will be added for online registrations.

On race morning there is check in and late registration, a participant meeting before the start, and door prizes and awards after the events. Awards are presented to the overall top three males and top three females in both the run and walk divisions, plus age division awards.

The event lists several community sponsors and local businesses among its supporters.
