Muncie Triathlon - USAT State Championship
The Muncie Triathlon - USAT State Championship takes place at Prairie Creek Reservoir Park in Selma, Indiana. This location has over 40 years of triathlon racing history. The event serves as the USAT State Championship and offers multiple multisport formats, including Sprint and Olympic distances.
Participants can choose from several event types:
- Sprint Triathlon: 500 yard lake swim, 12.5 mile bike, and 3.1 mile run.
- Olympic Triathlon: 1650 yard swim, 25 mile bike, and 6.2 mile run.

The course features a lake swim followed by a bike leg on quiet roads with mild rollers. The run finishes within a shaded park area. The venue at Prairie Creek Reservoir Park includes a beach house and a large beach. Ample parking is available near the transition area for all athletes.
In addition to individual age group and open categories, the event features specific divisions for high school athletes, Clydesdale, and Athena competitors. Relay options are also available for both 2-person and 3-person teams in the Sprint and Olympic triathlon distances. Registered participants receive a race t-shirt and custom cut finisher medals.
