RC - MoonPie 10 Mile and 5K Races - Bell Buckle

The RC Cola - MoonPie event in Bell Buckle, Tennessee, is held on June 19, 2027 at 6 Railroad Square. The Bell Buckle Chamber of Commerce organizes the 31st annual certified races, which include a 10 mile and a 5K course. Registration is online only and is limited to the first 1,100 runners; race shirts are guaranteed for pre-registered runners though sizes are not guaranteed.

Packet pick-up takes place in downtown Bell Buckle the day before and on race morning; participants must present a QR code or photo ID at check in. A runners breakfast is served after the races and all finishers receive a finisher medal. The RC-MoonPie Festival runs on the festival stage grounds behind the downtown storefronts following the races.

Course information and signage are provided on site and online. The 5K veers off from the 10 mile route at about the half mile mark; mile markers appear on signage and painted on the road. Water stops for the 10 mile course are located at mile markers 2, 4, 6 and 8, with Gatorade available at miles 6 and 8. Porta potties are located in the post office parking lot next to the caboose; none are placed along the race route. Parking options include the Webb School and Bell Buckle Park on Peacock Street and other nearby lots; street parking is discouraged.
