Moonlight on Mt Ascension Trail Run

Moonlight on Mt Ascension is a timed trail running event held at Mount Ascension City Park near Helena, MT and organized by the Helena Ultra Runners League (HURL). The course follows a modified figure 8 loop on the South Hills trails, covering the Mount Ascension and Rodney Ridge areas. Each figure 8 is 100% singletrack, measures 11.57 miles, and includes 2,645 feet of elevation gain per loop.

Participants have a 12 hour window to complete as many loops as they can. The field is limited to 75 total runners. Trails in the area include rocky sections and are frequented by wildlife; deer, black bear, and mountain lion have been observed on these routes.
