Moonlight Glow 5K
The Moonlight Glow 5K is an evening running event held at Veteran's Park in Wapakoneta, Ohio. This race serves as the first installment of the 2026 Moon City Challenge. Participants complete their course under the moonlight, navigating a route that begins and ends at the park location.
The event offers several participation options for athletes:

- 1-mile Twinkle Trot
- 5K Virtual Run
Participants receive specific themed items, including glow-in-the-dark t-shirts. Those who complete the course are awarded a special glow-in-the-dark medal. To increase visibility between the starting gate and the finish line, runners often use accessories such as glow-in-the-dark necklaces, bracelets, and shoelaces. This race allows runners to track their progress as they complete the first requirement of the annual multi-race challenge series.
