Moonlight Beach Half Marathon & 10k - Encinitas, CA
The Moonlight Beach event presented by Excelerace takes place on March 15, 2026 at Moonlight State Beach in Encinitas, CA. The event features a half marathon and a Shamrock Run 10k and occurs along a coastal course near the Pacific Ocean.

Participants receive a runner T-shirt and finisher medal. The event includes prize money for top finishers and a costume contest with cash awards of $300, $200, and $100. Half marathon top finisher prizes match the costume contest amounts. New age bracket awards will be given, and top finishers in specified age groups receive free entry to the next year.
Proceeds benefit VANC, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports veterans and their families. The event also offers exclusive shopping at a Columbia employee outlet with 50 to 70 percent off retail.
Registration fees are listed as inclusive of mandatory charges: the 10k is $94.15 and the half marathon is $148.65. Packet pick-up is scheduled at Road Runner Sports in Carlsbad on March 13 and March 14; bib mailing is not available effective February 25, 2026.
