Logistics, entries and benefits
Registration fees listed are inclusive of mandatory charges: the 10k is listed at $94.15 and the Half Marathon at $148.65. Packet pick-up is at Road Runner Sports (Carlsbad) at 5617 Paseo Del Norte #100, Carlsbad, CA 92008 on March 13 and March 14 from 12:30 PM to 6:00 PM. BIB mailing was discontinued effective 02/25/2026.
Included with entry are a runner T-shirt and finisher medal. Prize money is offered for costume contest and top finishers; costume prizes are $300, $200 and $100. Top finisher prizes for the half marathon (male and female) are $300, $200 and $100. Age-bracket winners for the half and 10k receive free entry to the next year. Proceeds benefit VANC, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting veterans and their families. Sponsors named include Columbia, Road Runner, Hudson SafeTlite, Champion Risk Insurance, Coast News, Herman Cook Encinitas and Dexus Creative.
