Moon Valley Strides for Schools 5K
The Moon Valley Strides for Schools 5K is a community-focused fitness event held in Phoenix, Arizona. Hosted by the Lookout Mountain PTO, Mountain Sky PTO, and Thunderbird TPA, the event serves as a fundraiser to support three local schools. The gathering is open to the entire community, including students, parents, and neighbors.
The event features several participation options:
- 5K Walk/Run: A course passing through the Moon Valley neighborhood and over the Grasshopper Bridge.
- Kids Dash: Age-based races specifically for students in grades K-8.
The event starts and ends at Moon Valley Park. In addition to the running events, the park hosts an Activity Fair designed for participants aged 16 and younger. This fair includes various games, crafts, and hands-on activities provided by local vendors.
Participants and community members can also take part in a raffle with themed prize categories such as Family Fun, Foodie Favorites, Pamper & Relax, and Fitness & Adventure.
