Monument Mile : Gering, NE
The Monument Mile is a one mile race returning for its second year as a standalone event after originating as part of the Oregon Trail Days celebration. The event is described as a community-focused run that includes runners, walkers, families, and spectators.
The projected route starts near the corner of 12th and N St, proceeds west to 19th Street, turns right for one block to O St, then turns right and runs east to the finish at the corner of 12th and O St. The start and finish are near Legion Park and the published location address is 1215 N St, Gering, NE.
Multiple categories are listed: Recreational, Competitive, Fun Run, and Boogieman Challenge. The Fun Run notes allow strollers, leashed dogs, and costumes. The Boogieman Challenge includes multiple strength challenges throughout the mile. An entry fee of $20 is listed for each category.
