Event Overview
The Monties Cycles MTB & Trail Run Challenge is a multi-discipline sports event held annually on December 26. The 2026 edition takes place at the Misty Valley Farm, located near the Laminin Agora Celebration Venue in the Brandwacht Hartenbos area of Mossel Bay, Western Cape. The event features a variety of off-road cycling and running distances designed to accommodate different endurance levels during the festive season.

The event offers several categories for mountain bikers, gravel riders, and runners:
- 87 km MTB / Gravel race
- 86 km E-Bike race
- 41 km MTB race
- 22 km MTB race
- 12 km Trail Run
- 6 km Fun Walk / Run
Venue and Location
All participating routes start and finish at Misty Valley Farm. The location is situated approximately 8 km from the Hartenbos traffic light on the R328 road toward Oudtshoorn. The venue includes several facilities for participants and spectators, such as a deli and restaurant, a gin tasting area, and a dedicated play area for children. The course provides views of the surrounding farm and valley landscapes.
Registration and Participation
Participants can register online until December 25, 2026. Late registrations are also available on the morning of the event at the venue during the early morning hours.
