Montgomery Whitewater Summer Solstice 5K
The event is a multi-terrain 5K set within the landscape of Montgomery Whitewater in Montgomery, Alabama. The course may include paved paths, gravel trails, and natural surfaces, and it is open to participants who choose to run or walk. The finish is located near the Summer Solstice festival area on site.
Registration opens May 18 and closes June 20 with a registration fee of $35. The fee includes the 5K and a post-race beverage; a commemorative race T-shirt is guaranteed for those registered by Monday, June 8. Early packet pick-up is available on Friday, June 19 adjacent to the Outfitter's store, and late packet pick-up will be available on race day at the same location. Race results and awards are presented at the conclusion of the 5K. Awards include overall top finishers for men and women and first place in five-year age group divisions for men and women.
Additional festival offerings take place nearby after the race, including a Breakfast of the Champions at Eddy's Restaurant and Bar available for a separate $16 fee and family activities such as tie-dye stations, flower crown making, and hands-on workshops. The event is scheduled to run rain or shine; the organizers reserve the right to cancel for participant safety without refunds in extreme inclement weather.
