Montgomery Whitewater Run Paddle Run Adventure Race
This is a short, multi-discipline adventure race at Montgomery Whitewater that combines running and creek-channel paddling. The course is structured as a run, a paddle in inflatable kayaks, and a final run back to the raft barn. The event is not officially timed.
Distances:
- Run segments: two 1.5-mile runs (total 3 miles)
- Paddle: 2,200-foot creek-channel paddle in inflatable kayaks
Montgomery Whitewater provides paddling equipment including helmet, PFD, ducky, and paddle; personal kayaks are not permitted. Participants must wear tennis shoes or water shoes with secure back straps; flip flops and Crocs are not allowed. The designated transition area is the Raft Barn.
Eligibility and awards include ages 12 and up and medals for overall 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in both female and male categories. Registrations completed by April 10 will receive a race t-shirt at packet pick-up; later registrations may not include a t-shirt. Packet pick-up occurs the day before the event at the Guest Services Desk in the Outfitter Store.
The entry fee is $35. Events are held rain or shine unless unsafe conditions require modification or cancellation. All registrations are final with no refunds, transfers, or deferrals. Participants assume risks, agree to event rules, and grant permission for promotional use of event media. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
