Monte's 5K
Monte's 5K takes place on Saturday, October 10, 2026, on the Cal State Monterey Bay campus in Seaside, California. The start and finish are located in front of the Otter Student Union and the course runs through campus during RAFT Weekend.
The event raises money for student scholarships; twenty dollars from each registration fee is directed to the scholarship fund. Registration is required in advance and handled through the race platform only. There is no on-site race-day registration and entry fees are nonrefundable and nontransferable.

- CSUMB students: free entry with Student ID and the promo code "CSUMBSTUDENT2026"
- All other participants: a set fee that increases after August 31, 2026
- Children under 12: free as untimed participants with required waivers; they receive a medal
Registered participants receive a race bib, medal, t-shirt, and post-race refreshments. Bib pick-up is scheduled during the week before the event and on the morning of the race; participants must sign an event waiver in advance and show photo ID for pick-up. Strollers are permitted but must remain at the back of the field for safety. Dogs are not allowed except for service animals. Parking is available in Lot 71; a daily parking permit is required and must be displayed.
