Monterey Bay Half Marathon
The Monterey Bay Half Marathon weekend takes place November 7-8, 2026, with the half marathon held on November 8 in Monterey and companion distances in Pacific Grove. The half marathon begins and ends in historic downtown Monterey, follows Cannery Row, and runs next to the Pacific Grove shoreline. The course is USATF certified. The half marathon has a three and a half hour time limit, equivalent to an approximate 16 minute per mile pace. Course elevations are modest, with a start elevation near 7 feet, a finish elevation near 19 feet, and a total elevation gain and loss of about 106 feet.
