Montana Women's Triathlon - Helena, MT
The Montana Women’s Triathlon is a community multisport event held at the city pool in Memorial Park at Last Chance Splash Waterpark and Pool in Helena. The swim takes place in a 50 meter outdoor pool with no deep water; swimmers complete a 500 m distance equal to ten lengths, and each swimmer keeps their lane until finished.
The bike segment is a mostly flat 10 mile ride that follows trails through Centennial Park to Ten Mile Park and back. Participants should expect short gravel sections, packed dirt, and paved city trails. Mechanical assistance is available on the bike course.
The run portion is a 3 mile run or walk primarily on Centennial Park trails, routing past the carousel and through a tunnel back to the park area where spectators can watch.
The event offers individual and team categories, including youth and U19 team options. The stated goal is to encourage healthy lifestyles for women through sport and to build a supportive community for training and participation. The race supports local organizations that share this purpose, including Girls Thrive, Helena Cyclones, and Helena Regional Sports Association/The ARC.
