Montana Women's Triathlon
The Montana Women's Triathlon takes place in Helena on July 18, 2027. Its stated mission is to support and empower women of all ages, sizes, and abilities and to build a community that encourages training and participation in multisport events.
Distances include:
- 500 meter swim: 10 lengths in a 50 meter outdoor pool.
- 10 mile bike: flat course through Centennial Park to Ten Mile Park and back.
- 3 mile run/walk: mostly on Centennial Park trails, past the carousel and through the tunnel.
The swim starts at the city pool in Memorial Park, a 50 meter outdoor pool with no deep water; participants keep their lane until they finish. The bike course is described as flat with short gravel sections, packed dirt, and paved city trails; mechanical help is available on the course. The run/walk route stays largely in Centennial Park and returns through the park tunnel.
The event reports giving back to the community by supporting local organizations, and it lists scholarships, coaching, merchandise, and volunteer opportunities. Volunteer roles and needs include lap counters, bike course guards, and run course support; there is a volunteer meeting Saturday after packet pick-up from 4pm to 5pm.
